Artistically, I’m constantly inspired by poet, (soma)tic practitioner, and Tarot reader CAConrad—who “always argues (from the inside of his poems) for radical inclusivity while putting a very queer shoulder to the wheel.” Whose poetry exemplifies what it means to hold love and hate, the world as it was and the world as it is, revolution and compassion, in their two hands and non-paradoxically walk forward.
“His kind of queerness,” poet Eileen Myles explains in an interview for the Poetry Foundation, “strikes me as nonpolarizing, not intentionally but because of the fullness of his exposition, a kind of gigantism that seems to me to be most deeply informed by love, and a tenderness for the ravages and tumult of existence.”
